[Release notes]

Browser version now available!
Stay tuned for original music by the end of the week..


[v 0.11]

  • Rewrote the end game screen; changed hierarchy, timing, now the "blip" sndfx actually fires correctly.

  • This should also eliminate the previous bug.

  • End screen coin count will now update after shopping in the store.


[v 0.10]

  • Start menu's "continue" button is now "unhighlightable" when it is your first time playing, making it clearer you can't actually "continue".

  • End game now presents a bonus for surviving. The formula is (seconds+1)*(minutes+1)/50 - rounded - for number of extra coins. If you have a better formula please let me know :)

  • AND coins are now presented in the main game view.

  • Just need to iron out one more bug and the game will be done!


[v 0.9]

  • Upgrade value goes down faster now in the store coin display.

  • End screen time and coin show up faster.

  • Tapping escape will unpause, and ill exit the store.

  • LASER has been revamped! Now including powering up and powering down soundfx, a build up animtion and a fade out animation, and a whole new CHARGER! Laser will no longer be acquired through a crate, bu instead will simply charge over time. Fire using the Shift key, and fire is contiues untill empty (this solvs a gameplay issue I had with it, making it OP on the one hand, and randomly acquired on the other hand. This way it is more strategic).

  • Nuke animation has been improved, and "charging orbs" are added to communicate it will charge with killed enemies.

  • "First time user experience" is introduced. Now when the laser or nuke are ready for the first time, a hovering btn icon will show up next to them. Goes away after first time used.

  • Removed the Pause button on top right of the screen (no longer needed) and moved the timer there.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed you to buy the same thing twice, Apperantly I forgot to write it into the save file :O

  • PAUSE MENU! Pause now has a "resume / restart / quit" menu.

  • If you fancy to enlarge the game using Alt=Enter, you now can without the Enter triggering the start menu.

  • Various quality of life tweaks.


[v 0.8]

  • Added record system! Game will now let you know if you have a new time record.

  • Added heating to the cannon! Cannon will now reduce fire rate if fired for too long.. other wise why have the option to fire and not just fire all the time?

  • Fixed store behavior bug.

  • Added sound effects here and there.

  • Added splash screen!


[v 0.7]

  • End game menu and store can now be navigated (only) through keyboard. Had to remove mouse control to allow this, and gamepad control is still on the fritz.

  • Bug improvements here and there.

  • Improved Nuke reload animation and lunch animation.


[v 0.6]

  • Improved store show-up animation.

  • Removed bugs and improved functionality of store.

  • Eliminated various bugs, including night time shading.

  • Improved laser operation.

  • Added the final NUKE weapon! After buying it in the store, charge up the nuke tank. Press ENTER to release the devastation.

  • Game is pretty much ready.. missing some final touches..


[v 0.5]

  • Added a main menu in the splash screen. You can now start a new game or continue. Continue will only work if you already have a saved progress, and starting a new game if a save file already exists will ask you if you are sure.

  • added new laser power up drops. This will be a purchasable item in the shop. Right now it has a 25% chance of showing up (graphic not final)

  • added an energy bar for the laser (graphic not final) that diminishes with the use of the laser and goes away when it is all used up.


[v 0.4]

  • Added a force field! now getting hit will trigger a temp force field that will prevent sudden death if a lot of enemies come at the same time.

  • Added a save system! Now when you exist the game after reaching the end screen - or - after purchasing an item in the shop, your coin and upgrades status will be saved. I DID NOT IMPLEMENT the start of game menu yet, so you cannot reset the data..

  • Updated shell chamber asset

  • Updated bomb animation when soldiers hit and a building explodes

  • Added cog animation on the dome, that will update when the turret speed upgrade is purchased.

Added debug elements:
1 - decrease fire rate
2- increase fire rate
PgUp - increase magazine size
PgDn - decrease magazine size
C - add 50 coins
L - enable/disable laser (Delete to fire the laser)
S - increase/decrease turret movement speed
R - reload the screen

Added game elements:
LASER! press delete to fire (L to enable the laser). Enemies disintegrate!
Added opening animation-ish
Removed score element, now you only fight for time and money
SHOP! There is a functional shop menu.. but no way to exist the shop lol.

NOTE: Game has no save/load data yet, so don't waste your time playing for too long!
