Virtual Stirling Engine

A computer simulated Stirling engine.

Controls

• Keyboard up arrow: turn on charger

• Keyboard down arrow: turn off charger

• Spacebar: Crank the engine

• Keyboard "i" key: Apply ice

• Keyboard "r" key: reset simulation

• F11: take screenshot (if you're using a downloadable version)

• Camera controls:

  • Move forward, backward, left, right: WASD

  • Move up, down: QE

  • Pan/tilt: mouse right click and drag

Notes:

• This simulation features a CAD model of a Stirling engine whose original version is by Juan Romero Correa. Some elements of the original have been modified for use in the simulation:
