Super Anjelo Land is my first game using Gamemaker 7. It used the same engine that my friend Ryan Silberman used for "Mario's Journey." The game itself is heavily inspired by Super Mario Land using the gray scale color scheme to imitate the limitations of the Game Boy. It is criticized for it's controls and collision and it hasn't aged very well.
In April 21st 2013, WhiskerMidi (also known as CrazyRiverOtter) and I developed a remake of Super Anjelo Land called Anjelo's Province, it's alot different than it's original game consisting of an actual story, dialogue, enemies, secrets and more. It has been featured in Vinesauce's Shitty Mario Game's Part 2 and got Game of April of 2013 on MFGG (Mario Fan Game's Galaxy).
