The movement feels weird, when you let go you stop dead in your tracks but if you change directions you slide a bit before turning. The collisions also kinda weird it happened a few times I jumped on a goomba and got hit. Then there's the many inaccuracities to 2d mario games seriously:
Goombas turning around when going against ledges
Characters not turning small when at 1 mushroom left unlike in Mario 2
Not a single Mushroom or power up in ANY of the levels.
No death animation as when you die the frame instantly restarts
No end of level animation same here the level immediatly ends and goes to the next as soon as you touch the castle (or pipe ig for luigi's second level).
The spinys falling through the floor.
The bullet bills immediatly disappearing when hit instead of falling down like in the og 2d games.
The timer of the level counting up instead of down.
And that's just the normal mario stuff. The 2 death scenes lame af, we see mario ONCE in the entire game and he doesn't even look exe just regular mario. The wario death is genuenly the most predictable thing ever "oh look there's spinning saws under this bridge of breakable blocks I sure hope the floor doesn't break as I walk over it".
The final IRL part was confusing af and clashed with the earlier part of the game. Was this a game the dad made to rant about his son?? If so why killing the characters what was the point of that?? Why is Mario evil??
I don't wanna be mean but genuenly I cannot understand how someone with clickteam knowledge and skill as amazing as yours has motivation to only make boring walking simulators.
