This is a very interesting crossover of a text-based adventure and a point-and-click. The ASCII graphics building the environment was a damn good art choice; this game has a Matrix-like feel to it.
The background music is simple, but expertly executed. The constant foreboding atmosphere gives you the impression that anything could be around the next corner.
My only criticism is that this game's too short. I'd love to see a more full-featured game of this style, just to see how you would run with the concept.

Harken back to the days of high adventure when a hero went forth with nothing but a keyboard and a clunky green dusty old monitor! Once again, travel to distant lands, slay horrible monsters, and hoard treasure earned at the end of your sword. But this time, bring your mouse, and feast your eyes upon beautiful landscapes and incredibly detailed scenes toiled over without graphics - after all, it is a Texture Adventure! This homage to a timeless old classic created for #AdvJam2016.
