Hey mate, it looks really really good ! Do you perhaps need any OSTs?
I definitely like this game but there some flaws that I think need to be ironed out a bit. the movement feels a bit to slippery which leads to me sliding off the platform I'm landing on . What isn't helping that feeling is the weird hit-boxes on the platforms themselves, they seem to curve down near the edges which just leans to me slipping off the platform when I should have made it. The last major gripe I have with the game is the way platforms are shown to the player, they tend to blend into the background like with the disappearing platforms in the second level. It's definitely hard to clarify these kinds of things in this 8-bit green and black gameboy style but adding a light green outline around the platforms will definitely help players visualize where platforms are in the black background.
I found 2 small issues that didn't bother me at all but i know will bother others are the stuttering player and the lack of music. For the stuttering character, when the player presses themselves against a surface I noticed the character would jitter and glitch in place. I don't know if that's caused by some kind of hit-box issue but I'm sure it'll be a quick fix. The other issue is the music, you had a great theme on the main menu just add that into the main game because it feels a bit off hoping from platform to platform with nothing but sound effects.
Past all the issues this is a great game, the animations and spites are cute, charming, and fitting for the style you were going for. The main menu felt very clean and the instructions at the start were great and very understandable (show don't tell). I believe that if you change around a few things and tighten up the gameplay this could be a little gem on gamejolt.

game that destroyed 18 keyboards during its development and almost caused players to have a nervous breakdown, Tower Slayer is here to test your nerves. If you have a challenge, you call a hero. Now, if you have a TOWER of challenges, then it's best to call in specialized help.
Meet TOWER SLAYER, the only professional in tower slaying in the world. Specialized in slaughtering vampires, undead, lycanthropes, demons, berzerkers, orcs, goblins, goblins, brigands, gunslingers, rats, bats, cockroaches, viruses and even demonic goats, as long as, of course, they are all inside a tower.
