What do you think?

T.R.A.S.H. in 2023.

This is hands down the definitive TRTF 3 experience, masterpiece.

WARNING: Long as heck analysis about the game going forward.

Honestly, I have no actual complaints about this game. Like I can't really come up with anything truly negative to say about it.

Visually, it appears incredibly similar to the original TRTF 3, only somehow appearing more polished while still being faithful to game's original look. It's actually kind of uncanny how similar the animatronic models and nearly everything else are to the original, yet somehow more detailed or more "clean" if that makes any sense. The game looks weird, but in a cool way. But that could just be me having a weird nostalgia for the look of some of the original TRTF games.

The gameplay loop was really well done and very enjoyable. I'm glad to see the "shorter but more difficult nights" carried over from TRTF 2 Windows 98 Edition to this game as well. I appreciate a lot of the original mechanics got more fleshed out for this remake. The corrupt signal being given more of a use as opposed to just 'button to press to make animatronic in the hallway go away" like it's able to be used as a last ditch effort on certain animatronics if you're unable to deal with them normally. The light system is actually vital to surviving the night and failure to repair it in time causes the power to go out leaving you defenseless. The light system also gives more importance to Foxy's new mechanic of having to use the strobe light to get rid of him, as you'll be unable to use the strobe light if the light system needs to be repaired. The animatronic view is no longer useless and Lockjaw is actually a threat unlike in the original TRTF 3. Also I'm probably the only person that's gonna say this, but I also like Kitty's new mechanic. It gives tension of having to keep watch on her while you have to look away to see if Foxy's in the hallway or if any animatronics are near your office by viewing the cameras. Kitty's mechanic is essentially having to stare down Springtrap in FNAF 3, only it's an actual mechanic as opposed to a last ditch effort to get to 6 AM. Ultimately the game was challenging, but incredibly fair. I never felt the game had unfair difficulty, even in Funtime Fright Mode or Night 8. I was never in a impossible to win scenario. Also all the doors actually have a use to be closed unlike the original TRTF 3 which you only needed to close like 2 doors. Lastly, nice to see Lynda included from major updates in Night 6 and Night 8. She caught me off guard the first time I saw her on both of those nights.

Also love the new sprites for all the minigames, and that all the original ways to access the secret minigames for the sad or good endings during the nights are here in this remake, as well as secrets like the Golden Lockjaw parts appearing in the CD+ minigame upon playing certain other minigames.

I only have 2 VERY minor nitpicks to say about the game that didn't bother me at all while I played, just 2 things I noticed that didn't really matter too much if at all in the grand scheme of things.

  1. No plushies upon playing the secret minigames. Didn't think it mattered too much, especially since you technically didn't need to play them all in the original TRTF 3 for the sad or good endings, just something I took note of having played the original game.

  2. Lynda's model isn't viewable in the extras. I mean it makes sense she doesn't appear in the animatronics portion of the extras, but it felt weird to me seeing her jumpscare in the extras, but not her actual model.

But honestly, I don't really see any need to fix these, as again they don't really matter.

But yeah, no actual complaints about the game, just wanted to comment on how awesome it is.

10/10 Best TRTF 3 Remake. Damn good job. Love this game.

And of course... fuck Susslord for trying to keep this masterpiece from releasing.

(Also side note not related to the game, but are TRTF 2 Windows 98 Edition's Final Update and TRTF 1 Windows 95 Edition gonna be released on MaximumElevapor's Gamejolt account as well? Would appreciate clarity if possible, thank you.)
