Story

Tux was walking around an island one day, when he decided to challenge himself to get through a desert, but what he didn't know, is that this would start a journey where he goes to different parts of the island to defeat different kings that want to take over the world!

Info

This is inspired by Super Mario Bros and SuperTux (the art style is similar to old SuperTux). You should play those two games, if you haven't yet.

Also, I know the game name "Tux Platforming" is very basic and could be better, but I want to keep it as basic as possible.

Credits

You should read the README, but there are hopefully all the credits here too.

https://github.com/TuxPlatforming/tuxplatforming-game/blob/main/README.md

Haxe, HaxeFlixel, Lime, and others - HaxeFlixel is used for this game, and HaxeFlixel uses things like Lime, Haxe, Flixel and OpenFL (I think?)

Discover HaxeFlixel - A lot of the code is gonna be from Discover HaxeFlixel. I feel like at the end of the project, the code might not look that similar, but this will be used as a base.

https://gamejolt.com/p/just-quickly-updated-the-area-1-pull-requ… To add on to this, originally, detailed-credits.txt in the pull request said that Tux may possibly be public domain, which seems to be false. Don't worry, detailed-credits.txt, as said in the other post, has been changed.

Just quickly updated the area 1 pull request to mention that no, Tux doesn't seem to be public domain. Also mentioned that the Larry Ewing Tux (which is worldmap Tux here) was made using GIMP (that's the name of the program)

After the Area 1 pull request is finished, I think I'll add a github actions / ci (has nothing to do with ai) thing so the game compiles on GitHub automatically. This time I hope I'll be able to make it so there's both Windows and Linux versions.

Actually, I'm gonna get back to working on Tux Platforming.

https://gamejolt.com/p/i-ve-removed-the-software-used-part-of-th… I just realized I could've made a bloatware joke since this is a game about Tux.
