Oh! It kinda has that feeling of some atari adventure games, for sure, nice work! :)
I thought, at first that the room was kinda generated procedurally, but then I read the comments and realized it's based on a predefined set. Did you get how to build it procedurally? I'm still working on procedural tests here.
I've one things to note about controls, which also happened in Mazeman, was that when changing direction too fast, sometimes the movement "locks" up. Are you only accepting input for one key at a time, or one axis at a time?
Cheers!
Ok, cool man! I guess my first question would be is this procedural generation, and if so, how did you do it?
Hey man.. I was wondering, since this game has been cancelled, would you mind maybe snding me the gmx file for it? I'm quite interested to see how you did it, and since I'm still learning GM, it would help me further understand it.
If you can't though, that's totally fine,.
Thanks!
This is a game I cancelled a few years ago and forgot about. This is a game based off The Walking Dead and is in the style of a classic Atari game. I had more things planned for this game such as multiplayer, more random areas, hard difficulty, and a few modes. The game slowly gets harder as your score rises. I have been told that after a while the game gets very unfair. What do you all think? If I were to rebalance it and make it more fair and maybe speed up progression to keep it interesting, should this game be finished?
