Undertale: Orange

Undertale: Orange is a fangame for Undertale directly inspired by other projects like Undertale: Yellow and Undertale: Blue.

In the game, you will be able to play as the orange soul - representing the trait of Bravery - set before the events of Undertale.

We have no official association with Toby Fox or any of the other "Undertale: Orange" fangames.

As a prequel, Undertale: Orange follows the story of Alex - a human with the orange soul trait of bravery - following their journey as they venture through the Underground before ultimately meeting their untimely end at the hands of the monsters.

Alex:

Alex is the main protagonist of Undertale: Orange. They are a child who climbed Mt. Ebott for the challenge after hearing of others disappearing when venturing down.

There is no official gender stated for them in-game, but they are referred to by they/them and given ambiguous terms so that you may project any identity on to them.

Reiner:

Reiner is a native of the Ruins and one of the core cast members of Undertale: Orange. They take the role that would have normally been taken up by Toriel (who is now relegated to being simply a cameo in Undertale: Orange) - guiding Alex, and by extension the player, through a new section of the Ruins not normally seen in Undertale.

Isn't there already an Undertale: Orange?

• Yes, there are many projects under the name 'Undertale: Orange.' However, and we want to be clear that we don't mean any disrespect, we aren't a fan of the direction that many of the other versions were going in and wanted to create our own take on it.

When will it be released/when will a demo be released?

• We can't currently give any dates, as we are a small team made up of only 3 people. We will, however, post updates as often as we feel necessary so that you are kept informed about the state of the game.

Who is the main protagonist?

• Undertale: Orange follows a kid named Alex. They will be ambiguously gendered/up to player interpretation (like Clover in UTY) and while they won't have any actual lines of dialogue, you will be able to select certain choices on select dialogue that will effect the outcome of the game.

How does this fit in to the timeline/will there be any connection to Undertale: Yellow or Undertale: Blue?

• There will be no direct connection to Undertale: Yellow or Undertale: Blue. We understand that this might disappoint some people, however, what we can say is that we will be going out of our way to ensure that the game doesn't directly contradict anything that any of the other popular fangames based on the human souls has in them. The project will also be somewhat timeline ambiguous, which means you should hopefully be able to fit it within any point of the timeline without much issue.
