Gamejolt has gone through a lot of phases over the years. Back then, Gamejolt was a big social community for indie developers. Nowadays, games on Gamejolt have seemingly become the least concern out of anything else. Gamejolt, slowly but surely has become more of social media rather than a gaming platform, with probably half of your recommended page being memes, and the other being art.

Along with there being a disregard for games on Gamejolt, Gamepages are being used to Gamejolt to promote other games. That section has not been updated at all. It is always promoting the same games, and nothing more. It's not a mainstream issue, but to me it certainltly is at least a problem that should have some consideration. I highly doubt that people even check out the Gamejolt store. I doubt that people even remember that it exists. Adding on to the problem from recommended games on people's Gamepages, the Gamejolt store has been seemingly stuck. I have noticed it when I first joined the Gamejolt Client. The who point of Gamejolt, to share games, is being neglected.

Drama on Gamejolt has been getting out of hand recently. With the founding of GJTP, (Gamejolt Troll Police) has come a plethora of dramas. Most recently being an instance of two GJTP users commenting animal cruelty GIFS on people's posts. Other dramas consist of infamous figures like Takwa, smaller dramas like Johnathan Bender, a user posing as a Gamejolt Moderator, or that big drama with Victoree which had maybe half the platforms users involved. Gamejolt moderation is like Roblox. They never take action until the last minute. They also are neglectful of their platform. I asked a moderation related question to a Gamejolt Moderator known as Lorac, and she told me to contact Gamejolt through Email. How stupid is that. A Gamejolt Moderator, unable to provide an answer to a simple question.

From what I have seen, Gamejolt seems to be leeching off of their platform users. With events ranging from the shutdown of firesides, to profile boosts, and much more. They seem to try squeezing every penny possible out of this platform, yet they never do anything about problems. For example, their Moderation team. I even contacted a creator once to see how much they get paid per charged sticker, and they told me that they get paid about two cents. That is just ridiculous. When applying actual math to this, you would need about 100 charged stickers on a post for only two bucks.

They seem to collect a lot of money from this platform, yet they can't afford to fix things like the chats spontaneously shutting down, or even the entire site shutting down, like how it did back in I'm pretty sure October.
