Destani:

"Nothing before you matters.. I have no need to look back."

Damien:

"Why's that? Surely there are some good times you'd wanna remember."

Destani:

"... I suppose." He looked away. "Though, none of them can compare to my time spent with you." Damien let out a small gasp at those words, his cheeks warming.

Damien:

"Nonsense Des, come on. You've done some amazing shit without me, why'd you wanna forget them?"

Destani:

"Loneliness is a practised killer, it knows when and where to strike; preying on the weak, it feasts on broken husks."

Damien:

"Oh...?"

Destani:

"I-.. look, what I'm saying is.. I was lonely, a shell of myself. But, throughout this time we've spent together.. I've found myself again, I know who I am and I don't need-.. I don't want to keep seeking for an answer, when I could spend that time.. with you." He looked back over his shoulder, embarrassed at his honesty, his cheeks flushed; thankfully hidden by his mask. He held a hand up to it and lightly traced the smooth surface.

Damien had stilled, unsure of what to say.. what he was feeling; his mind racing at those last words, his cheeks burning.
