We start at the end.

But before the end.

There was society.

A civilization going so well that it went into its downfall.

Once, Wario and his friend Walugi, opened a diner. It was successful.
Then years later: Wario made the grand opening of his fast food factroy.

There, he hired Mario and his brother Luigi. And the now-Princess Toadstool: Peach. 

Those three agreed to help Wario with his business.

And...

...

All of you know what happens next. But in this universe, Bruno never murdered those five. Wario never found that book. 

None of those ever.

But it did... Going into the near-future.

Wario's factory and his business rapidly grew over the years.

Instead of it becoming an ordinality... fast-food restaurant. It became a megacorporation and the business went under a new brand: WarioWare.

That. That was HIS only dream.

Becoming the most and well-influential person all across his world.

But he only did it for the money.

He never cared about the world, just HIS world.

One time they made AIs that... well, do anything. Almost anything.

They were called Robotic Operating Buddies or R.O.B.S.

That... would be a complete failure for Wario. The public criticized him and the bots. One said: "It wasn't anything revolutionary. What Wario and his company made was a complete pile of shit and we didn't need robots doing things for us, we were absolutely fine!" 

Another said:  "I feel like Wario wants to take control of the world using those bots.  Or never cared about us, his employees or... anything in general!"

Now, to his employees, they took the public's response lightly. They understood on what they want for themselves, mankind and the world.

But Wario... Oh Wario. He did not like the response.

So he tried to pump more and more products developed by the WarioWare company. Like a floating Mario head that acts as a teacher for an typing software, used by the likeness of Mario.

Or making these electronic games...

But everybody wasn't at least satisfied with his...

Creations.

There were rumors going around, saying that he stole these ideas without permission from his employees. Or that the R.O.B.S was made for surveillance.

That to me, the R.O.B.S, I've seen them before. Wario didn't invent them.

...

I wonder if HE trapped me in this Void.

Long story short.

Going into the late mid-to-late 21st century.

WarioWare wasn't doing. Mario, Luigi and Peach were considering leaving the company to fall. Even Waluigi was on there side.

However Wario...

Wario had other plans.

So one day, he called the four for a meeting. He led them into... what I'll say, a celler? I'm not sure.

He locked the way out, killed those four and their bodies just... fell.

Or went limp I should say.

Wario...  He knew someone would find these bodies, somehow. Someone will.

And his solution? He shot himself in the head. 

To make it look like HE didn't commit the murders.

...

But I wonder: Why did Wario, the founder of his company, went straight into madness?

Was it the public calling him out for his products? Was it his own friends? Or... Was it something else that made him do it?

Now, their bodies laid dormant in that celler. WarioWare shut down by then.

Now...

Decades later.

The End came.

I am not how it add ended for The Old World.

But this isn't the only piece of it.

There are more that I'd like to tell all of you.
