After Hours at Triple Js' - July 6th Devlog


TRAILER NEARING COMPLETION

Good news, the up coming trailer for Triple Js' is really close to being finished!

Around 60% of the whole trailer is done, all the voice lines have been fully animated and the overall editing process is being done as scenes are rendered, to cut down on some time!

THE TASK-BASED REVOLUTION

I'm here to announce to you all that After Hours at Triple Js' will no longer be a time based fangame (for example, a night that goes from 12 AM to 6 AM), but a TASK BASED one.

That's right, gone are the times when you needed to wait endless in-game minutes to finish a night, as now the game is considerable speedrunable!

Special modes will be added to the game to accommodate those who want to wreck havoc on their 10 fingers by speedrunning the crap out of the game.


REINTERPRETATION OF THE "POWER USAGE"

A "power usage" system has been in the works recently, in the form of computer RAM.

To make it short: your computer will have a 128 MB RAM limit, and if you manage to reach or exceed the this limit, the computer will crash and will have to be restarted.

The computer will remain unusable for a limited amount of time tho, as it'll go back to normal (with some notable annoying differences...)after it fully restarts.

This is meant to be a punishment to the player, as you have to be extra careful with the equipment inside of your workplace.


THE LAIKA OVERWRITING ACCIDENT

Uhm... yeah... I have a little accident with Laika sometime ago and forgot to tell you guys about it. I accidentally overwritten her .blend file with another one, resulting in the deletion of the old model...

She was recently brought back from the dead, as I've remade the entire model from the ground up! Have a look.

Note for myself: use Ctrl+Shift+I when appending a model and not Ctrl+Shift+S to save as... thank you, idiot.


This is all for today's devlog, I'm so sorry for anybody who's got mad for my latency but the trailer has seriously eaten up my time a lot lately.

However, there won't be any more updates until the full trailer drops :(
