Hello and welcome to the 5th devlog of Vivaio!
The Alpha 6 has been in development for two months instead of one due to personal reasons (exams! yayyy). We got another donation (awesome, thank you!!!) and thus we’ve decided to “hire” an artist (https://twitter.com/inkyai) to make a couple of customers for the game.
For this alpha our main objective was to add new content to make the game a bit longer. With the systems we worked on Alpha 5, adding new objects to the game was pretty simple, and save files between Alpha 5 and Alpha 6 shouldn’t be a problem.

Here is what we have been working on for Alpha 6:
New features
Two new customers: Lauren and Phil, by inkyai! More info about them: click here to meet Lauren and here to meet Phil.
Added a seed box. A pretty and interesting way to keep a lot of seeds organized.
Added a deseeding machine. Competition has reached Farmazon! Using grown plants, a deseeding machine will produce a bunch of seeds and compost.
Added wheat. Needs to be watered 5 days to grow, and the product can be converted into flour. Customers won’t buy raw wheat.
Added a flour machine. This will produce flour and compost using wheat.
Added a bread dough machine. Used for creating the bread dough (to be baked later). Requires flour and water (added with the watering can).
Added a furnace. Used for baking things, you know…
Added bread. Can be sold. Medium value: 45₡. All customers love it!
Improvements
Updated the way the energy works. Now, machines will use energy (1 unit of energy per use). Also, the house will keep using 1 unit of energy every day. 1 unit of energy = 1₡.
Added a new sprite for harvested plants that need to be removed or taken with a basket for compost.
Improved bed colliders.
Changes
Reduced amount of compost produced by harvested plants.
Changed the game currency. Now, the currency will be called “coins” and will be displayed as “₡”.
Small update to the menu objects background.
Customers no longer appear again on the evenings.
Bugfixing
Customers walking at x2 speed.
Customers walking without animation to the cash register.
Emptying the stand with the basket removed everything from both stand and basket and made the basket useless.
