This Release: Alpha V01-00-00

Additions

  • 2 additional levels (now totalling 3).

  • Pause functionality.

  • Countdown added before The Box is unpaused.

  • Implemented a menu system.

  • Level select functionality.

  • Added an option under Settings to adjust the game’s speed (be it slower or faster).

  • Quit game functionality.

  • The level’s colour changes on each reset.

  • Added a button to the Pause Menu for rerolling the level’s colours.

  • Unique text appears if The Box goes out of bounds.

  • Added a subtle halo behind The Box to help its visibility.

  • The game’s window can now be resized during runtime (Windowed Mode).

  • Created a new icon and enabled it to display in more places, instead of the default Unity logo.

Tweaks

  • The Bumpers, that the player can spawn, appear to be slightly further back than The Box (but that's just its visuals).

  • Inputs are no longer tied to framerate and should be more reliably consistent.

  • Fixed some gaps between colliders.

  • The Box's health has been raised from 5 to 6.

  • Cleaned up visual artefacts from the baked lighting.

  • Made the background geometry slightly darker for better separation from the foreground.

  • Camera is now faster at following The Box.

  • The Box falls slightly faster.

  • Reduced geometry by changing background elements from plains to quads.

  • Removed unnecessary collision boxes from the background.
