Okay, so this seems like a pretty cool series! I really like the direction this is going. I also like the idea of this being post-war instead of taking place during it.
I also have to say that this show is VERY out of the box and creative. I really like the concepts it brings it, like Protoforms being created on earth, Protoforms actually having to learn how to transform and scan vehicles, and armored military vehicles actually made for capturing and carrying Transformers in them. I also like the sorta M.E.C.H-esque "Mandroid" villain and him taking away a Decepticon to experiment on it (sorta like Breakdown 👀).
The G1 references are also awesome as well, I especially like the part where it changes to the G1 Artstyle and designs for explaining the war backstory, and how they even draw new characters in it's style too. The way they introduce Bumblebee in the show by subtly comparing his G1 design with his new one was also really cool and genius. Now as for the art and design direction, I also really like that as well. I always like it when Optimus turns into a Big-Rig truck, sorta like his Bayverse design, so I really like that they chose that for his alt mode. His robot mode design and seeing how he transforms was also really well done. (Also they made unmasked Optimus kinda handsome too??? 😳😳😳)
Megatron and Elita-1's designs have to be my favorite from the show. Megatron as a helicopter is a really cool alt-mode choice for him (when I first saw him come in I was sorta hoping that the show would introduce Blackout as a character cuz it made me think of him lol). The art style and animation of the show took some time to grow on and get used to me Ima be real, but I eventually started to like it while watching this.
Moving on to the main characters, I really like the main characters and their little conflict in the episode's plot. I'm pretty sure this is the first media of Transformers to feature Black protagonists, I really like that and think that's cool as well!! While the characters can feel alittle corny at first in the conflict scenes I think they're rather likeable as well. There are some scenes and interactions in the show that are honestly genuinely funny and cute as well.
As for the voice acting in the show, It's a shame that Peter Cullen isn't Optimus in this. I'm so used to Cullen's Optimus so it kinda caught me off-guard and took time to get used to, but none the less Optimus's actor in this is pretty good (In some lines/delivery I can kind of feel how he's trying to sound like Cullen in a way, if that makes sense). I kind of expected Megatron to sound WAY different, but his voice is also pretty good as well.
Pretty solid show. Too bad it may be Paramount Plus only I'm pretty sure, because I'm not sure if I'll be getting it any time soon or will be able to lol. To conclude, watch this show if you can. Watch the first episode if you can. This is off to a pretty great start.
Oh yeah, also Swindle is a character in the show and is in the episode so this show is immediately good don't @ me lel
