At Pangea Cup, we’re working on creating a brand new style of indie game competition coupled with an unscripted series telling the stories of the amazing people behind the games.

The competition will be broken up into development challenges, designed to benefit the contestants’ actual games as well as advancing in the Cup.

Think of it as game jams within a jam, where a goal like making a better UI or creating the best music to fit the mood in a game, etc.

Registration is opening here in a few weeks, and in the meantime we’d love to hear about jams that have been fun for you, but most importantly beneficial to your game and growth as a developer.

Our main goal is to elevate undiscovered talent in the gaming industry and foster inclusion on all levels of development. Stick around for more updates!

The Pangea Cup Season Zero will be exclusively on the Unreal Engine, so make sure you’ve begun using UE for your game.

In a couple weeks registration will open for Season Zero of the Pangea Cup. We’re gearing up for our announcement and putting the final touches on the mechanisms of the competition, and you can prepare, too!

Season Zero - What We’re Looking For

One of the biggest questions we’ll get at Pangea is what kind of games we’re looking for, as many competitions have a theme or a specific goal.

LGBTQ+ Game Dev Icons:

Rebecca Heineman is a trans woman, award-winning Space Invaders player, and game dev who worked as a dev on The Bard’s Tale, Myth III, and more.

She was inducted into the International Video Game Hall of Fame in 2017.

We're partnering with @PangeaCup to host the first $1M global game development competition and show! Together, with an All-Star team of judges, and mentors, the Pangea Cup will showcase your work to millions of gamers!

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Showing off player 2 😎

What do you think?

a drawing I did because I was bored😪. But I love how it turned out.😊
