Season Zero - What We’re Looking For

One of the biggest questions we’ll get at Pangea is what kind of games we’re looking for, as many competitions have a theme or a specific goal.

One of the issues with the game dev industry is that proven models stifle creativity. Even AA publishers are often reluctant to try something completely different when another looter shooter is waiting in the wings.

It is our desire to elevate games with diverse storylines and foster the growth of developers from all sorts of different backgrounds. We might even uncover an entirely new genre!

In a few weeks, after we open registration, we’ll be evaluating applicants with a small expert team looking at the potential of the game, but also of the people behind it. So, get creative! No idea is too far out there. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

In a couple weeks registration will open for Season Zero of the Pangea Cup. We’re gearing up for our announcement and putting the final touches on the mechanisms of the competition, and you can prepare, too!

At Pangea Cup, we’re working on creating a brand new style of indie game competition coupled with an unscripted series telling the stories of the amazing people behind the games.

The Pangea Cup Season Zero will be exclusively on the Unreal Engine, so make sure you’ve begun using UE for your game.
