Awhile ago, we interviewed Game Jolt Creator @DarkTaurus !

We asked them to share their thoughts, tips, and tricks about being a Creator. Check out what they said 👇

Q: What sparked your passion for creating content?

A: To be able to showcase my idea/creation to more people. (When I was working in a company, I'm under just a few managers, if they disagree with my idea, that's the end of it even some of the artworks were good and the client could be buying it. On the internet, it won't be such a tiny gate to limit my creations, so it sparked me to keep making contents to show to world not just only to a few managers that's in power)

Q: What exciting things are you currently working on?

A: Illustration artworks. It is a "Re-practicing" of my illustration skill that was not use since I left my last company many years ago.

Q: What tips do you have to help new Creators figure out how to connect with their community?

A: Just be yourself and keep learning.

Q: What hurdles have you had to jump over to get your amazing content out into the world?

A: Myself (self motivation, mindset, etc)

Q: What pro-tips would you give to someone just starting out as a content creator?

A: Be creative, don't just copy idea but get inspiration, also keep learning even from something that looks unrelated to your contents, but in the future, you could get some different ideas than others because you have more knowledge that could inspire your thinking.

Q: What’s the best advice another creator has given you?

A: There is a lot, I can't pick one. Basically, they are talking about: never think that you knew a lot, humble, and work hard to the right direction.

Q: What are your favorite tools in your content creation toolbox?

A: Photoshop and Illustrator.

Q: How do you determine if a video has succeeded? What metrics matter most to you?

A: Successful interested audience/engagement raised.

Q: What makes creating content for Game Jolt stand out from the other platforms you use?

A: Less limitations, quests and stickers are interesting.
