I liked the movie, but there are just a few things that make me like it less. But, starting off on a good note, the animatronic designs were amazing and the Toy Animatronics were utilized very well! Some of the comedy moments, like when someone threw a hotdog at... an animatronic (no spoilers lol) or some of the animatronics voice lines.
Spoiler Below:
I also love that they gave Chica more of a spotlight in the movie, because she is very underrepresented in the games and needs much more love.
Also, Balloon Boy was hilarious every scene he was in. And, the opening credits were actually bomb, I know thats weird to hear, but genuinely the music was vibing, just like the first movie, and the images got me HOOKED!
But, there is negatives...
Spoiler Below:
The Marionette's whole thing is that they take over people and give them puppet face paint and stuff, possessing them, but that just makes no sense how it works. They get the puppets limbs and suddenly become them but can change back in an instant. It's an animatronic, how does it do that? Plus, it just looked cheesy and not scary, which sucked because the movies opening scene set them up to be INSANELY good.
I also feel the fact that the withered animatronics were so limited with their screentime was weird.
Spoiler god I hate typing:
Michael Afton showing up at the start, leaving, then coming back at the end to be like "it was me all along" was like... why? And does that make Charlotte's whole arc just fake and The Marionette wasn't even the bad guy? How does this work?
But, the post credit scene was insane and I am so excited for FNaF 3.
