Debauchery Simulator Weekly Progress - February 20th to 26th


This week has been so important! I started with finishing Scraptrap's dungeon and the next day made the mechanics for Baby's dungeons. Lefty's dungeon will be the last I take on. I plan on adding more varied rooms at the very end, it would be okay right now but even better if there's more variation.

There of course is the new battle layout! Just yesterday in fact. Thanks to a MOG script. I am amazed by how unique and at the same time true to FNaF 6 I could make it. And the best thing about the goofs on the bottom, they could be replaced with unique renders and even different sprites if hit, healed, dead, etc. Though that surely won't happen in this version, if I ever find someone who can do that.

Across the week I finished all the icons. I finally feel good about them, so glossy!

Another big thing will be changing the W and Q scenario! Your party now starts on Lv1 and you will enter the four dungeons, but with different bosses. If you've played the scenarios before, you maybe know who the bosses will be in W scenario. That's the one I worked on mid this week. I assure you, the scenarios will become so much more fun and senseful.

Like a good gamedev I made sure all the gameplay stuff comes first and art comes afterwards. March will mostly be finishing the last battle animations, character sprites, and dungeon decoration (Baby's dungeon may work but looks like an empty broom closet rn).

To end the explainatory-ish part: I want to thank @elairyx and @OddPuppet9. I am so glad they enjoy my game and help me test 'till it's ready for the world.

  1. 4 New and Improved Dungeons: 2/4 done

    Baby 60%, Scraptrap 100%, Molten Freddy 100%, Lefty 0%

  2. Unique feature for each dungeon: 2/4 done

    Baby 80%, Scraptrap 100%, Molten Freddy 100%, Lefty 0%

  3. 1 new character: 70% finished

    (unique skill set done, animations are left)

  4. New enemies for each dungeon: 12/16 done

    Baby 4/4, Scraptrap 4/4, Molten Freddy 4/4, Lefty 0/4

  5. New optional bosses: 2/3 done

  6. Improve Trash and The Gang: 4/5 done

    (Mr Hugs and attack animations left)

  7. Improve my eyesore characters: 3/8 done
    Rockstar Freddy 0%, Rockstar Chica 100%, Rockstar Foxy 0%, Happy Frog 100%, Pigpatch 90%, Neddbear 30%, Mr Hippo 100%, Music Man 0%

  8. New Catalog Items: 3/3 done

  9. New Art: 40% done

    Icons 80%, battle layout 100%, battle animations 50%, environment 50%

  10. Fix remaining bugs from before: 2 found and fixed


And that's all for this week! My plan is to make one every sunday or saturday from now on!

I hope this helps me show my deeds reguarly. I work on this game every day (except for breaks of course), but interacting with people? No energy for that.

My Chaos Kids are 3D now!

Changed the battle HUD... again. I thought using the FNaF 6 screen would be perfect.

My last student project at Games Academy started. This time it's an expressive platforming game!

I'm doing the design and art for all of the UI. The logo was also created by myself.
