Hey everyone! Another year passes and another anniversary stops by! I’ll leave my thoughts at the end, let’s get straight to it!

NEW MEMBERS

As you might have seen, a couple months ago we put out a post asking for team applications, they’ve since closed and I want to welcome 3 new members to the team!

They all have already started doing some work, which I plan to show off later on in this devlog!

Along with this, for the anniversary we've released 2 new videos of in game footage!

SPRITING:

Over the last month, we’ve gotten a lot of good progress on battle sprites, and I can safely say that we’re only missing 2 animations for the entire party at this point! Along with that, we also got work on other characters like lancer done, and even revamped some of Susie’s sprites!

Along with that, we also completely finished the legend, which you can see in the showcase that came out today on the youtube channel!

ART:

There’s been some really amazing art made for the anniversary, which I’m putting below!

WRITING:

Writing is probably the most fleshed out aspect at this point, as nearly every scene in the dark world has been rewritten/finished!

Along with that, there’s also been work started on the field replacement’s dialogue!

CODING:

Coding has been going extremely well, and outside of what’s going to be/already shown on video, we’ve re-implemented the main menu, along with it now including the chapter select features of base deltarune, meaning it can now run other chapters!

CLOSER:

Now that that’s out of the way and people have the chance to click off, I’m gonna talk about my thoughts on the anniversary.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 3 years since all of this started, so much time has passed and so much has been forgotten, yet it feels like yesterday we started this journey together and I made memories that I’ll never forget. I started this project in my freshman year of high-school, and now I’m graduating next semester. There’s so many people I’ve met through here, and I think some people who run projects forget that the main goal above all should be to have fun. The people I work with on this project are some of my best friends, and I’m so glad to have met all of them. Without them, I’m not sure I’d be the person I am today. To all of them reading this, thank you for staying around even after the years that have passed, and day why did you tell us to join that plane game and leave like right after that was so stupid

Jokes aside, thank you to everyone who’s been here, I want people to know that I read every comment on gamejolt/youtube/everything else, and it means the world to me that people enjoy the project.
