devlog 1 - First floor done! New mechanics ideas.


Hey there, it has been 3 days since my last post. I am kinda new to this devlog thing, so i don't relly know if i should wait more or if i should try to post more frequently.... ANYWAYS

The first floor of the "history mode" is done. It took me 2 days straight just putting objects in the map. And after it taking maybe more time than it should, it is finally done! The first floor.... out of three. oh man... that will be hard.

The first flood it self will be one of the easiest. i mean, in difficulty, so i don't think it will actually need to be that big since nothing will be actually hard to escape. But anyways, i am worse making maps then creating a proper name for any thing lmao

Note: there will be things in the gameplay, such as, keycards, levers, secrets, inventory and power ups. changing somethings between the modes. (I will explain more about those powerups and the inventory system in another devlog)

One idea that got into me when i was finishing the map was that it would make the game alot more scary and unknow if the player woundn't see places it didn't pass through. (as seen in one of the images above, but including, walls, details, itens, etc.). And if you had passed throught an item and decide to pick it up later, and while you are out, your friend picks up that item. when you came back to that place your character would still "Remember" that there was something there. but then you look at where it was supossed to be, it would desapear, because your character "saw" that there was nothing there anymore, did you understand? because i don't know if i am being clear enough with my toughts.

Anyways, no need to make this more long that it already is.
