Devlog # 2 | It's time to see what it's like!


It's been a month since previous devlog. A month in which the game advanced a lot! In today's devlog I will introduce you to several of Redie's base enemies. And their... variants...!?


Enemies

The DEMO release will include 10 enemies, 3 of which you will meet today! (The other 5 are really shy!)

Since there will be only 1 stage available in the DEMO of the game, all the enemies will appear there even if they belong on further stages. So if you notice that certain enemies don't fit the area, that's why!

Green slime is the first enemy to be made for the game.
The slimes really like the view from high places, so you can usually find them on the calling. However, the moment they see you below them, they're going to jump down hoping to catch you.

They're not fast or powerful, so they shouldn't be that much of a problem, but just in case, always make sure the ceiling is clear around you.

I also heard there is more than one color variant of that enemy, but I can't find it anywhere... Where could it go...?

Flyes come in many sizes and each of them works slightly different. The smallest ones are no danger to you, but they might be annoying as they gather around you, acting like a living shield for other enemies.

Medium Flyes are more likely to harm you. When they notice you, they'll try to position above you and damage you with their tears. You can easily outrun them, but make sure you're not attacked by multiple of them at once.

There are 2 more size variants of Flyes, one of which is a boss enemy, but you're not going to meet them today.

Corpse Head isn't very intelligent, it does not follow you and has very limited movement. Nonetheless, you still should watch out for its attacks! Because it lacks limbs, it cannot go to higher position than it already is. The head is going to constantly try to escape by rolling around, hoping to jump over to the higher position. Its effort however are always in vain. As said before, the head will not chase you, but you might accidentally get hit while it tries to escape. Just a simple jump can deal with this enemy, if you notice it before it hits you, that is.

Because of its weak body structure, each time it hits the wall it will take some damage which in the end may be fatal. Whether you want it or not, it will die, you can just speed up this process.
