E3 Murasame Warriors Developer Conference

Hello, I am the developer of Murasame Warriors. I am happy to be able to speak to you guys about the game during E3 and I hope you will enjoy this conference about it. Of course, I am here today today to talk more about Murasame Warriors and what it is. So let’s get started!

Murasame Warriors was a game I came up with when I really wanted to make an RPG that revolutionized the SNES J-RPG style. I had found out about the Mysterious Murasame Castle (the game Murasame Warriors is based off of) through games like Super Smash Bros. and it even being released on the Nintendo 3DS. I liked the lore and thought I could make an RPG off of it. The characters and Japanese style really appealed to me. Making an open world RPG would be very challenging. I would need to constantly have content as the player moved on throughout the map so it didn’t get boring, and I could keep the player hooked.

Games like Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X have really inspired me to have an open world with lots of detail. I also take inspiration from the Elder Scrolls series for things like side quests and talking to people. It’s a dedication to the RPG genre as a whole, basically. I hope all will enjoy it when it releases.

The engine is an all new, never before seen engine. It is called Rpgboss. I am not using RPG Maker or anything because I wanted to make a new game and see what this engine had to offer. So far, the engine is still in beta, which is why any battle styles or pretty much any thing you see can change. But for now, this is how the game looks.

As for the soundtrack, I also am using music from other RPGs again as a dedication. I respect all the people that worked on these tracks and take no credit. But, I do hope everyone can look past me not composing music myself and enjoy the game.

So here is a small part of the story!

You as Koro have to help preserve the 3 Rings that hold the properties of simplicity to Japan, Courage, Power, and Wisdom, all represented by elements. You will embark on a long adventure, meeting many friends and foes along the way.

For the maps. we have added a day and night system to make the world even more dynamic.

Since the map is so big, we have also added tunnels. The tunnels allow the player to get from one place to another, while finding items and fighting off enemies. They are riddled with items, but also enemies, so I reccomend building a strong party by equipping them with strong armor and weapons.

I sincerely hope all will come and take a look at the game, as well as the Tech Demo.

Thank you very much for reading this! Be sure to continue to look out for Murasame Warriors as the developmental progress gets higher and higher.

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.
