For a while I've planned on adding a few more gimmicky and fun enemies, and that's exactly what I've done in this update apart from other improvements. Let's begin the breakdown!
The Chomper
This evil fella is no short of an asshole, as his main task is to eat all the upgrades and healing orbs you haven't picked up. And he does make use of them! He gets faster after eating an upgrade, and heals when he picks up the healing orbs. Mainly a lategame enemy.
Sprinkler Drone
These guys can be somewhat of a nightmare, sprinkling energy pellets at you from above and harrassing you - taking your focus off of the deadlier enemies on the floor for that split second can prove detrimental to your run, but so can getting hit by his spray of doom!
Igniter Turret
An early game counterpart to the Dragonfly, they will sit on the ground and fire (get it?) hot energy pellets at you which ignite the ground.
Improved bossfight
To make the boss's spawn less unclear and make it seem like more of a boss encounter, the game will flash the words "!! Boss Incoming !!" before your eyes to make sure you know that it's a boss.
Furthermore now the game does not end right after you defeat the Elite Drone, instead you have to pick up its Core before being transported to the You Won interface. Feels more natural and rewarding.
New stats UI
Some items are now locked behind a progression system where you must pay 2.000 Energy to unlock one out of 15 items.
This is really unlikely to stay, I don't like this mechanic at all.
Usual round of bugfixing and balance changes.
