V2.0.0 IS OUT NOW AND BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE!
A lot has been added to the game, with only ONE MORE MAJOR UPDATE coming out! This next major update will feature a new multiplayer game mode for both the backrooms edition and the zombies game mode!
But let's stop talking about whats COMING UP and talk about what's new and why we went from 1.3.0 to 2.0.0!
Update Includes:
HUGE PERFORMANCE UPGRADE (I overlooked a MAJOR flaw in my level designing, and fixing this flaw has given players a HUGE FPS upgrade, even on machines that don't have a dedicated GPU!)
New UI Setup! (I have switched the main menu, options menu, and other common user interface screens to look MUCH MUCH better! New button styles, and the menu screen uses a new tab based system. Inside the graphics settings, you can now see the graphic modes you have selected!)
New Zombie Game Mode! (This was a totally random thing I just woke up and decided I wanted to try out. If you're unaware, I have only been developing games for about a month now. Prior to this month I had ZERO experience. So this was a fun way to test my abilities, and try creating something A LOT more advanced! Its a fun little game mode that you beat when you reach round 100. Its very similar to COD Zombies but inside the FNAF universe! I do plan on keeping this in and adding multiplayer functionality to it in the next update as well!) + I am going to be working on my own FPS game on the side so creating this mode was super helpful to get me started on a shooter game!
Steam Integration! (You can now use the steam overlay in game for things and once the multiplayer functionality is implemented, you will be able to invite friends and join sessions using your steam profile or your epic games profile!)
Animatronics have been slowed down (I played through the game personally, and I wasn't having much of an issue with animatronics being to fast, but I got a lot of complaints saying they could not escape the animatronics. So I have slowed them down a decent amount to help the player beat the game.)
Made the level brighter (People have complained about the level being to dark, A LOT... I originally added in a flashlight for the player to use, but some people still have complaints. So I made the level brighter but that's the most I am going to do. This is my first game, its bound to not be 100% perfect.)
Fixed the textures in the main cutscene. (I literally have no idea what happened there. Like when I went into unreal, all the textures where just missing from that level... So I fixed that now! *hopefully* )
Fixed the phone call bug where you could make the call play 100x over itself.
Fixed the ringing so its an infinite loop until you pick up the phone and once you do it stops the phone from ringing.
Added collision to the table holding the phone
Fixed collision on the lamp post on the desk in the backrooms level
Added Controller support (Still in very early stages. May not work, and may get taken out of the game)
Disabled flashlight input on cutscenes so they are more immersive and you can't break the illusion.
Working on fixes to wall corners where the textures are colliding and causing some weird texture appearance.
Removed the credits button from the start menu
Fixed timing on some of the subtitles
Slightly increased player speed
changed all lights to static lighting to help with performance
Fixed the flashing chica poster in the security breach lobby so when its on you can actually see chica (requires higher graphics settings to be enabled)
Added Full Screen, Windowed, and Windowed Full Screen Options
Re-Added the volume slider to the options menu (Slider position still won't save but the audio levels will)
There is very likely some updates that I forgot to mention above, as this update was HUGE and I have been working on it for 3 days straight now, but I think I mentioned a large majority of the important main ones!
Thank you guys for all the love and support on the game! We are just shy of 200 downloads! There will only be one more big update to the game after this one, then I don't plan to really touch this game much more afterwards..
For my first ever released game, made in only 2 weeks, I am VERY happy with this! I can't wait to show you guy's what else I have in store for you!
Lots of love everyone!!! <3
