-FNaTAS 5 UE V2.0 Devlog #1-


Hi there! It's been almost two months since the last post in this gamepage... damn, time flies.

I originally said I'd start developing V2.0 of this game once FNaTAS 4 Rebranded came out, but I've had a change of plans.

My coding burnout ended quite a long time ago, and I'm not doing all that well IRL due to... stuff. Working on games helps me escape from the real world, so I decided to start developing it now.

I've written this quick devlog to celebrate the reveal of FNaTAS 4 Remastered. Don't forget this is a classic game after all~

Speaking of, I'm glad the classic games are getting their recognition, wether it be through the Advanceds or a Remaster (or a modification in FNaTAS 5's case)

The OG FNaTAS 4 had a really cool vibe / aesthetic that no other game had, it's nice to see it getting its chance to shine.


Well, onto the actual news:

The unlockable plushies have already been fully implemented. Here's how they look like:

Instead of being unlocked through Custom Night challenges like in the other games, they're instead unlocked by obtaining the hardest stars, as an incentive to try and beat them. (For example, Jena is unlocked by beating normal mode without dying)

As usual, you can turn them off if you don't like how they look in the new inventory section of the extras.

I wanted to make a plushie for Jake as well, but it was just too hard. He looked really bad when drawn and if I did what 1R or Chronicles did of making his sprite smaller, he stood out too much compared to the rest.


I've also been working on improving the graphics of the minigames with shaders (the sprites will remain the same.) Here's a comparison:

I tried giving them a CRT effect as well, but as you can see by the image attached to the top of the post, uh... let's just say I'm too unexperienced to do that.

(Feel free to play Tic Tac Toe in Daisy's forehead btw)


Anyways. I sadly don't have that much free time to work on the game at all, but I do try to work on it as much as I can when I have the chance.

Once the update gets further into development, I'll post a juicy classic FNaF-styled teaser that will show more interesting stuff. I'll also reveal all of the new additions that this update will have (planning has been fully finished!)
