Four new game modes have been implemented

I’ve implemented new game modes as I spoke about in previous entry and I hope they enhance the game experience.

I’ve got a few tips and also a lot of ideas and if I’d like to implement them all it would result into a total disaster I guess. So I picked four of them and with current game mode included there are five game modes now:

  1. Freestyle
Current mode you can play in the jam version. You just drive on the surface of Vanilla Moon, picking ice cream cones and fuel tanks. Fuel consumption is normal (2) and there is no timer.

  2. Cursed
This one is interesting. You have unlimited fuel (fuel consumption is 0) and there is no timer, BUT one of the cones is cursed, when you pick it, you almost immediately lost all your fuel and game session ends.
Of course you can’t recognize cursed one from the other cones and since you have unlimited fuel there are no fuel tanks.

  3. Three Minutes
There is a timer and you have to pick as much cones as you can until you either run out of time or fuel. There are fuel tanks and fuel consumption is slower (1).

  4. Six Minutes
Similar to three minutes, but you have twice as much time and the fuel consumption is normal (2).

  5. Twelve Minutes
The longest game mode with timer. You have 12 minutes to pick as much as you can, but the fuel consumption is faster (2.3).

I’m still thinking about the 6th game mode, that I’d name Cursed Plus. It would be similar to Cursed, but with 3-5 cursed ice cream cones and normal fuel consumption.

Besides this new game modes you’ll see in the post-jam version also a new items: additives that temporarily slows down fuel consumption and speed boosters that increase the speed of your ice cream truck, but keeps the fuel consumption unchanged.

There will be high score keeper for each game mode as well and all time accessible option menu to set volume of music and volume of sfx independently.

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Today I was setting up the location of the first boss. His name is "Father" and he is the first of the Patagonians. His task is to guard the road to the House.🛡🗡 Bookmark pre-launch page🔖🔖🔖
