Get to the church!

Hello all!

First of all, I want to say a huge thanks to everyone for playing Purgatory Trial. We did not expect such a fantastic response!

I’d also like to thank the Lets Players for putting time in to creating some awesome video content. We get great joy in watching others experience the same torment we did testing the game.

Also, I’d like to thank Gamejolt for featuring us on their front page! We love this site and look forward to pushing out more content here in the future!

We’ve got some big plans in the future on adding more content to Purgatory Trial. Originally, we made this game as part of the Adventure Game Jam that was on last month, however we went a little over schedule and found ourselves spending an extra week and a bit polishing the game to be in a playable state.

There was so much more we wanted to add the game, but ultimately for the spirit of the competitions original goal, we decided to release the game early and in a more reasonable scope for the time we had.

We’ve been kicking around a few ideas, and have been inspired by what you have all suggested in the comments section.

In the near future we’ll be releasing a patch that resolves a few problems that have cropped up. From there we’ll be working on a new content update that’ll add more items, weapons and zones to the game.

Stay tuned!

What you all think

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Today I tackled drawing different variations of facial expressions for one of the main characters in Eden. What do you think of it? :) Eden: https://gamejolt.com/games/Eden/592698
