Getting back to things


Hey all! Been awhile since I’ve dedicated time to this project, but I can see it’s definitely one that shouldn’t stay down for long.

Anyways, I’m redoing some major renders for the game itself. Updating the animatronics’ sprites should give me something to work with when I start getting serious with the to-be-implemented Battle system. (It’ll also help with the framework of the slightly rearranged Party frame. Getting a few extra open spaces should be handy…)

Aside from that, I will be working on the near-finalized version of the overworld. Still figuring out how I’ll build it (since I know I can do better than what I’ve been using), but hopefully the end result will look good.

I don’t have anything to properly show off just yet, though. Going to make sure I have some of it done before then.

Next up

Suppose it's rude to come back doing polls without showing some sort of progress for it.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

Got a (mostly stable) demo ready for the occasion!

This whole "making a new battle frame" situation does give me an excuse to add some things I had been putting off for far too long.

I know it's completely unintentional, but I swear this is the universe trying to convince me to dig my old handiwork out of retirement and do something with him.

I might be having too much fun with this process...

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.
