Can you believe it's already 5 years since the release of Version 2? Even I didn't believe it. This version, admittedly, I was proud with it AND I genuinely HAD a fun time making it, considering it was my chance to fix every issue with V1 (dialogues, story, map design, balancing, etc.). Albeit, not without any hardships along the way, like losing months worth of progress from data corruption or the absolute not so smooth Day 1 launch
But overall, it seemed to have garnered a bit of positive reaction, especially from people i know who enjoyed what the game has to offer, and I really appreciate that.
That being said, there are more rooms to improvement for the game even at V2. I hope I get to improve most of these for V3 when I get to it eventually.
Now, for the juicy stuff. I have mentioned I'd make a proper announcement for the thing I'm working on for the 10th Anniversary for this day, and now the time has come. As you know, the current builds in this GJ page are the current versions of V2 and V1. And emphasizing on V1, I have never kept the older versions of the builds archived here, and for a long time I assumed they were either lost to time or sitting in rot at my old laptop (which takes an ungodly amount of time to load). But that has now changed!
Say hello to the TNGaU Archives, a collection of four older V1 builds consisting of:
The Demo Build
The first released build and the full release of TNGaU
The 1st major update that added the (9) Scenario
The 2nd major update that added the F***boy's Scenario
After sitting in the vault for so long, these builds will now be properly archived and will be released in this very page. 10 years worth of ancient TNGaU history has now been preserved. This will hopefully be a treat for both old and new players alike.
Currently I'm re-testing these older builds to ensure they are mostly bug-free and works exactly how they did in those builds. The release date for the TNGaU Archives has not been determined yet, as always with my projects, but hopefully, and emphasizing on "hopefully", not too long. I hope you're excited and looking forward to it.
Stay tuned~
