Hellhole Island update 1.5.5.0 has been released!


Additions:

  • Added a Square Shooter 2 themed invasion event, Cubic Chaos

  • Added Squarium, which allows you to craft guns and accesories using a Squarium Altar

  • Added new tiers of shields, which allow you to dash

  • New invasion totems

  • New guns: Sniper Rifle, Super Shooter

  • New enemies: 5 squares from Square Shooter 2, and a new Hellhole mode exclusive enemy: Toaster Troll

  • New blocks: checker floors, brick floors, sand blocks, leaf blocks, lamp, solid ruby ore

  • New "sniper skills" world seed, generates a Square Shooter 2 themed world

  • Added Pain Void, which allows you to convert a world into Hellhole mode

  • Added new worldgen features

  • Added new settings and post-processing effects

  • Added structure builder tool

Changes:

  • New world generation progress percentage

  • Slightly increased block generation range

  • Updated pistol & machine gun textures

  • Upscaled cursor sprite to look crisper

  • Updated GUI scales

  • Garden Gnomes regenerate their health faster

  • Fixes to block layering

  • Fixed typing numbers in chest name switching inventory slot

  • Restored old chair hitbox

  • Sign, tombstone and chest labels now trim spaces

  • Thinner item tooltip font

  • Reorganized creative inventory slightly

  • NPC shop now always returns items

  • Updated new day display

  • Updated explosion particles

  • Digging yourself in a deeper hole achievement is now obtainable again

  • Updated ruby ore light color

  • New rain lighting

  • New shoot sound

  • Speed Glove no longer works on items with auto-use

  • Increased ruby lamp light radius

  • New ruby lamp recipe

  • Increased Furious Cloud enemy thunder attack max range

  • Non-solid blocks no longer prevent enemies from spawning on them

  • Updated chicken texture

  • Updated wheat seed texture

  • Changed world slot coins label to money label to fit the rest of the game

  • Nostalgia seed now spawns player at the center of the island

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
