Hello guys it's @LockjawEntertainment1528 and this is my first original game called "Whispers of the Abyss which is going to be a M ( Mature 17+) which has blood and gore, fantasy violence, and mild violence as well.

Introduction: Enter the Abyss

Hello everyone, and welcome to the very first look into my original psychological horror game, Whispers of the Abyss. This article is meant to introduce the story direction, tone, and the journey of the protagonist who will guide players through the descent into fear.

The Story’s Core

At its heart, Whispers of the Abyss is about isolation, memory, and the thin line between reality and madness. The game follows a lone protagonist who awakens in a decayed, unfamiliar world — a place where every shadow seems alive and every whisper in the dark is pulling them deeper into something they cannot fully understand.

The whispers are not just background noise — they are the essence of the Abyss. Some will try to help, others will lead you astray, and a few may even reveal secrets about the protagonist’s own past. This story is not only about surviving the horrors of the Abyss, but also about confronting the truths buried deep within the human mind. The Protagonist:

The main character is not a traditional hero. They are an ordinary person with flaws, fears, and regrets — someone who is already carrying a heavy weight before entering the Abyss. Their journey is about uncovering why they were brought here, what the whispers want, and whether they have the strength to resist… or if they will ultimately give in. Why Psychological Horror?

Whispers of the Abyss isn’t about cheap jump scares — it’s about atmosphere, dread, and the uncomfortable feeling that you’re losing control. The environment itself becomes part of the storytelling: walls that breathe, corridors that shift when you look away, and whispers that blur the line between friend and foe. This approach allows players to feel not only fear, but also the haunting curiosity that drives them to explore further. A First Step:

This is just the beginning. The game is in its early stages of development, and this introduction is the first step into building a world I hope players will find terrifying, thought-provoking, and unforgettable. Over time, I’ll be sharing more about gameplay, art direction, and development progress.

Thank you for taking this journey into the Abyss with me. Stay close, listen carefully… and don’t trust every whisper.

The company and my team will not be releasing the game on @GameJolt but we will release it on Steam ( only) but we will do podcasts and interviews here and on YouTube as well to talk about BTS, concept art, ectra.

I’m a solo dev making a handcrafted dark fantasy world full of secrets and rich lore. No Lumen, no Nanite—just classic lighting so it runs on your toaster. Love The Witcher, The Last of Us, or Monkey Island? This is for you.

The game will also be inspired by Nightmares Ned a cancelled Disney channel tv series which is what I forgot to mention but now you know. The reason why I'm saying this is because there are going to be some references to the show.
