Hello there ! It's been a long time since i last shared about the current game state, and i must admit i didn't work much on it for the past months. In fact i had some exams going on and other stuff, but now i'm back on it, so the project isn't canceled !


I did some changes on the game and the plans i have for its future, and i will sum up everything about the game here :


**THE GAME**

Hello Neighbor Resurgence is a fangame using the old alpha assets, but with a brand new story, with a new level design (and a unique house) and some new features. My goal is really to make the alphas, but finished and with my own vision on what the game should've been.

So as i said, it is NOT really an alpha remake, the old alpha houses will not be in the game, it will be a fresh new experience.


**CHANGES**

Since the last post, i decided to revert back on using Lumen as the lighting engine, because SSGI had some visual glitches and was ugly overhaul.

Also, i rethinked how the AI would work, i used as a base how the neighbor's ai work in the official alpha, but improved the system. (I'm still using state trees to make it)

These changes in how the AI works allow me to introduce a cool difficulties system that change how the neighbor behaves, making it more "paranoid" with high difficulties.

I also want to add a "Hardcore Mode" where if you get caught once the game is over and you have to restart all over again.


To finish, since i'm still learning to use state trees, the AI may take a bit of time to develop, but when it is finished i'll build an alpha for you to test the game, so stay tuned !

Hello there ! Today i added an inventory system for the neighbor, which can now hold up to two tiny objects, or on heavy object. (This affects its walking animation too ! )

The player is basically finished The neighbor is buggy for now, i 'm gonna work on a better function for him to move from one point to another so he doesn't get stuck, and i began working on the hunt state. #fangame #ai #helloneighbor

All the houses that i shown before during the pole got 25% of the votes, so i asked a friend that prefered the first one. However i find it too big, and i'm scared that it ruins the infiltration aspect of the game, so i kept the ground lvl and first floor

Hello ! Today i was experimenting a bit with parallax effects and made a mirror, however it is really laggy and i don't think i'll keep them. Besides the graphical aspect it would have been a cool gameplay mechanic though :/
