In Etone's Donkey Kong plush made in 1982 (First Mario merch?)
He had for some reason, a random print in his belly that said his name, better seen in this illustration made in the era
Do you think this was the inspiration for the tie?

Also also, this is a really interesting fact

There's this little illustration for the plush, I was gonna put it along the photo but decided agaisnt it

May I remind you this was on 1982, WAY before Super Mario Bros in 1985

I know this is 99% a coincidence, but Mario using the term SUPERSTAR this early on in his life is fascinating (Yes, I know they were used to being called Starmen, I just think it's neat)
