Game
Project John Doe (HNR)

hi guys ! it's been a really long time, and i haven't been really active recently, especially now that i have a job as a game developper and my gamedev studies, but i still find a bit of time to work on the project.
Anyways, i have some announccement

First of all, i've put the project aside for a while to work on my own AI framework, which will be based on a goal oriented action planning, to achieve my goal of making the AI as complexe as possible, while still having some control on it.

The project will probably be released as an open source plugin for Unreal Engine 5, but i'm not sure yet...

(There will be more than GOAP to it of course )

Now i have another news that might disappoint some of you and i'm kinda scared to share this, but i'm thinking about turning the game into its own unique game, with my vision of the perfect stealth horror game. No worries though, the concept will stay nearly the same, i just think removing the "hello neighbor tag" it had before will give me much more freedom on what i wanna build.
I hope not to make yet another Hello Neighbor clone/fangame, but something truly unique, and i hope the best horror game i could ever make.

I'm still thinking about it though, so tell me if you disagree with that decision, i might revert it.

Anyways, good evening everyone :D i'll post every single footages of me testing my AI framework when it taking shape so stay tuned !

My page was granted with a fresh new design ! My resume got one too and i'm redesigning my website. (By the way if you work in a french game dev studio that is searching for a student gameplay programmer let me know (: )

Hello ! Today i was experimenting a bit with parallax effects and made a mirror, however it is really laggy and i don't think i'll keep them. Besides the graphical aspect it would have been a cool gameplay mechanic though :/

The player is basically finished The neighbor is buggy for now, i 'm gonna work on a better function for him to move from one point to another so he doesn't get stuck, and i began working on the hunt state. #fangame #ai #helloneighbor

(don't know if i'm gonna use it in the game though + the texture is not finished, the handle is still wood)

hi ! today i bought the Ultra Dynamic Sky plugin for unreal engine. (note that this screenshot was taken in the precedent version of the fangame, if you've seen my last post you may know that i've decided to make the game from scratch again)

Hello there ! Today i added an inventory system for the neighbor, which can now hold up to two tiny objects, or on heavy object. (This affects its walking animation too ! )
