This is the first of five planned rants I am going to post

Horror is for me at least is one of the most interesting categories of media it's one of the few genres where you could be starting your director career and gain a cult following right out the gate now the most well known and beloved genre in horror is the slasher from Jayson Voorhees to Freddy Kroger to Leather Face to Candy Man Chucky to Michael Myers and Ghost Face the slasher genre is the most important part of horror because most of the iconic horror characters are in this genre and they have the most beautiful and interesting kills horror movies are art form all to itself needing millions of people to apply Prosthetics and making sure their murderer has the right feel to it horror is one of the few genres where you could do anything for example the Winnie the Pooh horror movie and a Grinch horror movie is planned to be made in 2023 in horror movies one bad actor or character can ruin the entire movie making it flop horror movies also have the easiest setup here is a basic list of things you need to do to make a simple horror movie

1. A good Killer most people who watch horror movies are always rooting for the Killer they like to see how dangerous this killer could could be in a real life situation

2. Good kills this one is obvious people want to see blood and gore with good Prosthetics and props most horror movie fans would rather see props and Prosthetics then CGI

3. A good setting and atmosphere most most if not all horror movies take place on Earth but if you wanted to be hell or space you wouldn't be the first getting the setting just right it always important in a horror movie it has has to be the right amount of scary so you don't feel like you're going die there immediately

4. The pothead you have make sure everyone likes his character because they are always the first to die you will always see this character with some sort of drugs

5. The horny boy and girl they're going to all over each other make suggestive comments to each other and be the most hated people in the movie they are both always the second kill

6. The nerd who knows they should of never came in the first place they are completely scared and the third one to die

7. The final girl it is usually always a girl who lives but a final boy does exist final girl's usually have some problems in their life and to them the killer is their problems they watch their friends are dieing because of their problems and them living is them getting rid of their problems

This is how a standard horror movie goes now before I end this rant I want to talk about what horror movies mean to me they are a very important piece of my life it showed me how creative people could get with that simple premise that standard of a horror movie that's why horror my favorite genre to watch Fox Guy Foxtail and this is the end of my rant remember to smile and Happy Halloween
