How the heck do I remove batteries from a roku remote


I dont know if im being really stupid, but my THICK AHH NAILS REFUSE TO WORK and pry these batteries out

(These batteries are ticking rn, and uh i dont wanna find out what happens when the clock hits zero, is my home gonna blow up? I dunno!)
