UPDATE 1: Development & Teaser
It's been 1 year since I share some news about looking for a new engine at the beginning, but in the end, I decided to do my own coding on Game Maker 8.
I was about to do the Tails demo during the development, although I want this EXE game to be good as it can.
If you notice about the game page, it had changed and I made a teaser for Sonic.EXE: SF game.

Since now that my EXE fangame is still in development, might as well just look at this screenshot preview.
This is how I've done so far and this is where the first zone begins, starting with Sonic.

Greetings! It's been 3 years hasn't it? Short story, this game was cancelled since I lost interest into this game. But looking back to it, I have my motivation back. I'll be changing the game a little bit, but for now, here's old gameplay footage.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
