For one thing, people bash on the story for it being "Oh my god it's just Bowser kidnaps the princess again!" But there's a little more than that. For one thing, yes, the Princess get's captured, but it isn't until later into the story where that even happens. People have been saying that the whole call to action was the Princess gets kidnapped, but the call to action in this story was all the toads are D E D. And another thing, the writing in this game is actually really amazing. There were plenty of times in my first playthrough where I had quite the good laugh. Like really, you can't tell me that when you did play the game you didn't laugh a single time because this game has some great jokes. I mean really, Paper Mario: Color Splash without it's jokes would be like a tuna fish sandwich without ketchup (I'm sorry I had to). Oh what's that? You don't get that joke? Well it's probably because most people haven't even gave Color Splash a chance and went straight to hating it because it's not the Thousand Year Door, which in my opinion, is good, but way overrated. So, in my opinion, out of the six Paper Mario games, Color Splash is my 3rd favorite.
