i tried backgrounding (gone well for once?!)

today me and my sister were making salad for lunch and there were two little slugs in the lettuce. we separated a leaf and put them on it, then put the leaf in a flower pot that wasn't being used

naturally i get extremely attached to the slugs

but then we went to tell mom and she said we had to leave them in a natural environment so she suggested we brought them to grandma's yard

grandma and grandpa used to have a lot of chickens in their yard, now there's only two. there's also a jabuticaba tree, and there used to be a mango tree as well but grandpa decided to cut it entirely (to this day grandma is salty about it).

i wanted to keep the slugs as pets but that didn't work out and we ended up having to part ways (very emotional)

i cried more than when our dog died which is probably concerning

to be fair i had time to prepare in the dog situation she was sick for two weeks prior
