I was going to ask this question yesterday on my bday but I wasn’t able to. So today, I’ll be doing that now.

Ahem, I’ve been thinking about adding a last name to Toothy for my FNaF fan-game to differentiate him from canon HTF Toothy.

Toothy being plainly called Toothy or Toothy the Beaver is just plain, fucking, boring. Like, I don’t mind calling canon Toothy only Toothy or saying he’s “Toothy the Beaver” as one of the main protags of Happy Tree Friends aka HTF. But um, you guys must understand that Five Nights at Toothy’s IS NOT based on the canon Happy Tree Friends cartoon as I made an Alternate Universe that’s known as an AU for short based on Happy Tree Friends/HTF. And with that AU, Toothy is - as stated, a purple animatronic beaver.

He’s not any beaver though, he’s possessed by an undead spirit just like the other Happy Tree Friend characters that are also animatronics within my Alternate Universe and Five Nights at Freddy’s fan-game with all of that not even being remotely 100% related to the canon Happy Tree Friends cartoon series. I’ll explain in another post about who’s the spirits and why and how they happen to possess the animatronic versions of the HTF characters. Besides that, Toothy having the same name as his canon self (to me) is something that I don’t want to have going for the future of my FNaF fan-game. The reason being is that if MondoMedia (or the other creators of Happy Tree Friends) sues me or do a C&D, I don’t want to go through that legal trouble and I tried asking permission to make a HTF based FNaF fan-game before months ago but none of the creators of the series responded.

I can try to ask for permission again but if it fails, all I could do is credit. Still, I’m making name changes to not only Toothy but also some of the other Happy Tree Friend characters. What I’m trying to get across is that just like how Freddy’s last name is Freddy Fazbear, I feel like the HTF AU based FNaF fan-game equivalent to that would be me renaming the iconic purple beaver as “Toothy Tisdale”.

What? You think I would name Toothy something like “Toothy Beaver” or “Toothy Fizbeaver” or something else along those lines? Haha, no. Why would I? That doesn’t make any sense and I don’t even like those stupid names as they sound worser than calling Toothy only Toothy or “Toothy the Beaver”.

Anywho, Freddy Fazbear is a catchy name for Freddy and so is Toothy Tisdale being a catchy name for Toothy as Tisdale is a good last name for Toothy due to the fact that Toothy himself has two giant and long buckteeth that’s separated. So, it’s only justifiable to have Toothy be called Toothy Tisdale with his full name including two T’s to match the two big teeth he has. Do you guys like or agree with my decision of should I ignore my feelings on the matter? I’m only asking because I want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong when I say that I love the name Toothy Tisdale being the purple animatronic beaver’s official name for my Five Nights at Toothy’s game and Happy Tree Friends Alternate Universe way much more than plain ol’ Toothy.

Lastly, just because I’m making this decision does not mean you guys can’t call Toothy by his first name. I’m only giving the grape-colored rodent a last name, that’s all. No big deal. You can freely call Toothy Tisdale by his full name or just Toothy for short, just know that his canon name is Toothy Tisdale as this name will only be mentioned and present within the universe of my Happy Tree Friends Alternate Universe that’s linked to my Five Nights at Freddy’s fan-game that’s called “Five Nights at Toothy’s”.

Small announcement.

Does anybody remember that design I drew of Toothy back in 2022 as they are the very pictures above this post as ALL the drawings are old from 2022 when I was 17?

All of those are inaccurate and not canon to my fnaf fangame anymore.

I have a feeling that ever since I remembered that this character sometimes have this thing in his mouth, I might have to change the maturity rating for my fnaf fangame as yes, Pop is included but I haven’t drew him in my art style yet. But I will soon.
