Q: what is this AU about?

A: Silly 'lil' infection AU containing lots of strong topics and trauma 👍

Basically some high school students went on a field trip to a lab with a sample of a new crystal like material that expands in heat. Something went wrong and one of the students managed to get infected. Before anyone knew what was up they all got brutally murdered and infected as well, quickly expanding through the whole planet and killing/infecting everyone in their path. More will revealed soon

A: This is kinda like a metaphor I suppose. Both Sonic and Shadow witnessed their friends get mauled. They later found each other and decided to stick together for the time being. Without realizing it, they got WAY too emotionally attached to each other which caused new issues involving themselves and other characters i won't mention (aka toxic yaoi 🤑 /j). Shadow being oofed and Sonic hugging onto him shows how they're falling apart but won't do anything to stop whatever they have and just keep on staying close because if they just happen to separate one might just go insane.

Q: Why do they have longer tails? ._.

A: it's quite simple for Shadow. I just think it looked cooler on him :3

For Sonic it's a bit more complicated. Let's just say he's hiding something big and that something is causing weird changes in his body 😘 (He's infected chat :c)
