Game
SlimeJumper : Ultimate Jump

in this post i will explain why development has stalled and what the current status and plans for the future are.

(Enclosed I add the logos from new to old)

SlimeJumper : Ultimate Jump what happened

What has caused the development to stagnate?

Multiplayer: the biggest problem was the multiplayer. i wanted to add everything from match making to the level system for players to the in-game shop. so it was a bit overwhelming for me. also, i didn't properly sort or describe the important things so that i could easily find them, which made it that much harder for me.

Unity Update: my game was on an outdated version of unity and of course i wanted to be on a newer version, but that brought some difficulties. first came the new input system which i really wanted to use but i immediately discarded this idea because otherwise i would have had to change everything in the player script and familiarize myself with the new system. but that wasn't as bad as the next change.

the 2d light system had been updated and the lights i had been using no longer worked which meant i would have had to "manually" replace all the lights at EVERY LEVEL.

SlimeJumper : Ultimate current status

the game is currently in an early version and also "not" playable, but I have already added some improvements that will help me to develop the game further and I have also added some graphical improvements.

SlimeJumper : Ultimate plans for the future

Multiplayer canceled (for now): the mutliplayer would not be added "for now" and I don't guarantee that one will come, "but" when I'm done with the base game I'll defetively look into it again and see if I can do it.

Demo release: there will of course also be a demo of the new version. (The old versions here on gamejolt will "NOT" be replaced!) so you can compare the two versions. The release of the first demo version is not fixed yet and might take some time.

Base-Game release: When exactly the game will be released is not yet certain. In the best case this year, but I don't know that yet.

thank you very much for your attention. if i should have forgotten something, i will submit it later. have a nice day and a nice weekend.
