Enter the Guestaverse progress update:
So, some of you have been wondering how the progress for the game has been going... and it's been going very well!
Preproduction for the game ended at around 40 maps long. The game is meant to be my longest yet, at a whopping 230 maps long.
The game is a classic Theguestcreator adventure! Complete with fantasy creatures, humor, and classic RPG elements. However, there are a few new additions to make sure the formula doesn't get stale!
Jumping: I experimented with it in TIOB, but now it is a feature in a lot of the game. When encountering black squares on the ground, you can walk upon them to jump to higher elevations. Used heavily in the parts of the game set in high locations.
Maturity: While the game can be comedic at times, it will have darker elements and moments. Again, I experimented with doing this in TIOB, and it turned out well.
Magic enemies: Some enemies in the game will be immune to physical attacks like basic attacks or specials, so, you'll have to use magic on them. This gives a bit more strategy than just pressing enter over and over.
The plot is simple:
"When a mysterious, dimension hopping villain named Singularity appears in the Guestaverse, it's up to Nathan A. Guestington to form a crew to defeat him. However, do be warned that in his many journeys, Singularity has picked up various skills that make him quite the opponent."
I can't wait to continue to work on this game next year!
