I’ve been working hard on LotB lately. Most of my work has been code refactoring, which isn’t terribly interesting, but I did add a few things of interest.
What’s new in this update:
Keys and locked doors! Although I’ve only stuck one key and locked door in the game so far, expect more of them throughout the game to improve the dungeon-going experience.
Dragon Head statues have been added to the game. Some of these are inert, while others will shoot attacks at you. Expect other sorts of statues to occasionally attack you or come to life in the future.
I’ve reduced the hitbox of the main character and shrunk the size of the doors in the dungeon. Reducing the player’s physical presence makes it easier to traverse narrow halls and passageways as well as making combat a bit easier.
I’m coming close to being finished with the Dungeon of the Moon :) I’ll need to add health containers, the boss, and polish the dungeon a bit more before it’s fully complete and I can begin work on another dungeon.
