March Development Update

Hey there! I hope you're having fun in quarantine :)

The game's development hasn't been affected much and I'm very much still on track. Well, with the actual game that is... the truth is, I've haven't done a whole lot of marketing the past month. By that I of course mean that I haven't done anything. So, yeah, I've decided to delay the game to May. Trying to get it done by April was a bit of an ambitious goal... Plus, it means more time to add fun little pointless things to the game, which is just lovely :D

So then what have I been working on? Well, I've been busy creating the final chapter of the game! This bit brings back the linear aspects of the game, with lots of challenging puzzles and fun set pieces. I've gotten complaints the the puzzles are kind of straightforward but I plan to change that here >:) The chapter starts off with challenging puzzle that tests you on all the mechanics you've learnt up to this point. Quite soon, you're introduced to a brand new mechanic that I'm calling... the GRAVITY SWITCHER! And guess what it does? It swicthes the gravity! Crazy, right?! Jokes aside, this thing flips one of the characters upside down when they touch it, letting them walk on the ceiling and stuff like that! I've found lots of fun ways to use it in puzzles, and it's also used in a more fast-paced running bit.

It's a bit hard to show any of this stuff without spoiling the game... I've done lots of work on the final boss, but of course I want you to see it yourself when playing the game! Although I can assure you it's pretty cool! So just imagine a cool boss, and it's probably a lot like that! I think! Mike, the very friendly robot, also makes a triumphant return, but this time, he's a crucial part of the puzzles... whoops was that spoilery... maybe I should stop... yes I really should...

Well then! As I said, the game is actually fully playable from start to finish. There's definitely still lots of work to do on it though, much more than just bug fixes. This of course means... drumroll please... PLAYTESTING! Soon enough I'll be sending out builds to some peeps, and one of those could be you! Just DM me on discord (PowerBurger#6731) or twitter (https://twitter.com/LifeIncGame) and you'll get a key! Hopefully...

Alright, I'll get back to work then! Plenty of polishing work to do, as well as a bit of optional content I want to add in Chapter 4. Remember, stay safe, wash your hands, blah blah blah you've heard it all before so I don't need to tell you :)

I heard getting these steam wishlists is pretty useful... so add it to yours, will ya?
