Because today is Sonic’s 24th Birthday, I consider that I should give an update on the game’s progress.
One thing I forgot to mention in the last update, along with the random encounter enemies, not only will their rank be in reference to the E-100 robots, but their color as well. Meaning that β’s will be black, γ’s will be red, δ’s will be blue, ε’s will be orange, and ζ’s will be purple. Did I mention that there are two types of enemies per area?
Majority (that’s an overstatement) of the rooms are built, a few more, but not too many need to be added. Unlike every RPG to ever exist, instead of rooms having black backgrounds on the outside, I changed it so the outside is now filled with stars to give it more life (and actually feel like fucking space). Several rooms in the Ark also have transparent floors which allows you to see the planet below. All of these are minor aesthetics, but they add SO MUCH to the atmosphere.

Interesting/funny icons were added, items are 99% finished and attempting to stay relavant towards Shadow and not Sonic, none of the achievements are programmed yet, some skills are still unbalanced, some of the bosses are still unfinished/unbalanced, added the Pokemon impact sound whenever you run into something, added a health bar on ememies to rid the question “how much fucking health does he have?”, near to none of the battle backgrounds exist yet (anyone know where I can find empty pictures of the Ark?), and majority of the music and sound effects are in place.
TL;DR
Some things are finished and well put together, other things are still on the drawing board. The release date is still unknown, and I will announce a drop for the playable build in a few days/weeks (if you’re interested in it, I’d rather not do it and just focus on releasing the actually game).
Now back to the dark cave for me!
